Hartzell has witnessed some of aviation’s most incredible moments — we made many of them possible! Last year at EAA Airventure Oshkosh, however, we watched as one man showed the world that nothing is impossible when engineering brilliance collides with a passion for flight.
Heads were fixed on the sky as Yves “Jetman” Rossi lept from a helicopter above Oshkosh. Just ahead of him was a B-17 “Flying Fortress.” Below him was nothing but the open sky. Yves engaged the jet engines strapped to the wing on his back, and then the only things dropping were onlookers’ jaws. Jetman was flying in perfect formation alongside a B-17.
The sight was truly beyond words. Watch the video below to get a taste of this amazing event, and see why it was widely hailed as a highlight of Oshkosh 2014.
