Due to their critical nature, certain tasks in the overhaul process require evaluation by Hartzell to ensure they are being performed correctly. Hartzell inspects and evaluates samples of the processes and operations from propeller repair facilities from around the world. If a repair facility’s sample is found to be acceptable they are added to the sample program approval listing for that operation. We recommend that if you are using a propeller shop that is not a Hartzell Recommended Service Facility (RSF) that you confirm that the shop has appropriate approvals. The following tasks require evaluation and approval by Hartzell:
