PIQUA, Ohio — October 14, 1996 — Bringing the benefits of Hartzell’s Top Prop™ STC Program to pilots and aircraft owners worldwide is one of the new responsibilities for Brian E. Meyer as he is promoted to Manager of STC Programs. As Manager, Meyer handles both customer service and support for the Top Prop program, on a worldwide basis. In addition, Meyer guides product development, distribution and marketing for the propeller conversion program directed primarily at corporate and general aviation aircraft operators.

Meyer joined Hartzell in 1995 as Engineering Programs and Certification Manager responsible for propeller certification and program management. Meyer built a stellar engineering career through his work at GE Aircraft Engines, Sikorsky Aircraft, Lockheed and the University of Michigan. He has over 15 years of experience in aerodynamics, structures and test engineering.

A registered professional engineer, Meyer is a Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Experimental Aircraft Association and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. Meyer has been an active pilot for over 18 years, holds FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic certificates, and has built two aircraft.

Brian Meyer earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
