The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) recently elected Hartzell President, Joe Brown, to serve as Chairman of the Board for their 45th year of advocacy, education and service. GAMA represents a over 80 businesses serving the general aviation community. The group was founded in 1970 to educate the public and policy makers on the economic and social impact of general aviation. Joe served as Vice Chair through 2014 and had previously chaired GAMA’s Policy & Legal Issues Committee.
We are incredibly proud to see Joe chosen to represent the entire industry. The opportunity to advocate on behalf of 89 of the world’s biggest aviation firms is a great honor, and he brings a lifetime of experience to the role. Joe has worked in aviation manufacturing for over 25 years, is an instrument rated pilot and flies over 300 hours a year for business and recreation. He has also served on the board of the Experimental Aircraft Association and the IMC Club.
