The annual Redbird Migration Conference is the largest flight training event of the year. From October 27-29, pilots and technologists from around the country were in Redbird’s San Marcos Skyport training laboratory to see the latest hi-tech training equipment and hear experts talk about the past, present and future of flight training.

Joe Brown, President of Hartzell Propeller and 2015 Chairman of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association, sat down with Aero News Network to discuss the importance of proficiency for pilots of all experience levels. As Aero News noted in the article accompanying the interview:

“It has been proven that accidents often have little to do with the total amount of pilot flying time; they are more commonly linked to pilots that have not maintained proficiency.”
