At Hartzell, we already have the longest aircraft propeller warranty in the aviation industry at three years or 1,000 hours. But this year we’re making it even better. If you haven’t heard yet, Top Prop propellers delivered after July 1st, 2016 will include an extended warranty that covers these props all the way through their first overhaul.
If that sounds like a big deal, well, it is. In fact, this is the longest warranty for propellers offered anywhere in the general aviation industry.
Hartzell President Joe Brown had this to say about our decision to make the change: “Clearly, this warranty extension is an expression of the confidence we have in our people and propellers. Superior quality and reliability is a reflection of the words we have lived by for nearly 100 years: Built on Honor.”
We will continue to work hard to invest in reducing the cost of flying, and making it safer by encouraging owners to follow the recommended TBO interval. Overhaul sticker shock is a big concern for many pilots, so we hope this warranty will ensure that that first overhaul can be scheduled without surprises.
